Yes, we gave (everything) we had in the second half, our disappointment is the goals we've conceded in the first half are soft.
The first one; we know they set up big from set-pieces, direct long throws, and we knew that was going to be a battle today, that we had to try and win. And uncharacteristic of us of late, we've been tight at the back, but we've missed the first contact by a mile.
Jumping under the ball, the lad who was meant to be on the striker, then (the ball) dropped down to a centre-half, he's put it in well, so fair play on that one.
Obviously, they’ve basically won the game on a penalty. There was never a penalty. We've had a foul on Kev exactly the same two minutes before that, in a wide area where the ref can give it, he doesn't, and then obviously they get the penalty and slot it in for 2-0.
So, you're playing catch-up, but I know it sounds a bit of a Sunday League shout, but the wind played a part as well. First half, we struggled to clear our lines and get out, we were penned in a little bit, and they took the two-goal advantage, which they probably deserved. Second half, I thought we probably shaded it in terms of areas on the pitch that we got into and things like that.
We get back for 2-1 with a good goal from Kev, and it just didn't quite fall for us in the box in the last ten minutes. I think Watson had a strike that was flying in, and one of our lads blocked it, I think another one from Greaves has (been) blocked. So, yes, it just didn't quite go in for us, but look, we've just got to shake it off quick.
We've only got a day's turnaround, and we're back in on Monday against Sheffield, which was always going to be a big game that we need to win. It's no different now, and I think with the rest of the top four playing each other, I think things are still in our own hands, but we've got to go and get two results now.
