Their success means they have now completed the League and Cup double for the 2020/21 season.

The Cup final was a hard fought match against Sleetmoor United FC who have also won their respective league title, but Belper ran out 5-1 winners.

The first half was close with both sides creating chances, including some great saves from the Belper keeper Bobby Taylor, but Belper closed out the half 3-1 up with two goals from Aiden Horspool and one from Malachy Woods.

The second half saw Belper take control scoring two more goals, with one from Aiden Horspool plus one from Sam Hunt, and so giving Aiden a well-deserved hat-trick.

The final whistle saw Belper close out the game as dominant 5-1 winners in front of a large crowd at the Thornton’s Football Ground in Belper

Congratulations to all the Belper players, and the management team of Tim Walker and Steve Hunt, for what has been another fantastic season for the team with them all showing a great attitude and approach throughout.

This now means that this age group have won their league in two out of the last three seasons!
