Striker Sutherill was rewarded for his 20+ goal season and second successive Golden Boot award in the Midlands Division with a place in Lee Attenborough's senior squad.
He follows fellow Academy graduate Lewis Austin as the hard work of Academy boss Karl Sheard continues to pay off.
In the 2022/23 season Sutherill scored 17 goals to secure the Golden Boot as well as a place in the ESPFA National Team of the Year.
He followed that up this season, going even better by passing 20 goals with plenty of games to spare as the Nailers won the Midlands Division with ease. They are 15 points clear at the top, having dropped just two points all season. This moves them to the Grand Final once again where they will take on Witton Albion at Rushall Olympic on Thursday 9th May (12pm kick off).
Sutherill, along with many of his team mates have found themselves in the Team of the Week on multiple occasions.
First Team Manager Lee Attenborough had this to say after securing Ewan's services:
"With the registration deadline looming, we felt it was the right moment to get Ewan signed on first team forms. He first came to our attention last season when he was banging goals in for the academy. He trained with us a few times last year and played some minutes in a couple of friendlies after Christmas and did well. Since then, he has continued to impress for our academy side and with age, he has also grown physically and continued his good goal scoring form. He's also been playing Under 21's football in the midweek leagues which has also contributed to his development.
Just like with Lewis Austin, where possible, we want to create a pathway from our academy side and integrate them into the first team when we feel the time is right."
