The Nailers are steadily building a new squad for the forthcoming 2024/25 season and a further three players were recruited at the end of last week.

Defensive midfielder Nathan Whitehead has joined the Nailers from Matlock Town while striker Luke Rawson who featured in our games against Stocksbridge has also signed the dotted line.

Nat Crofts who is described as an ‘electric’ winger has also transferred allegiances away from Matlock Town. These three, together with the re-signing of Brodie Litchfield on Thursday, completed an astute piece of business by manager Lee Attenborough.

In summary the new players that have committed so far are…

Larell King (Full back), Jack Thatcher (Striker), Ioan Evans (Defender), Nat Crofts (Winger), Nathan Whitehead (Midfielder), Luke Rawson (Striker).

Re-signed from last season…

Ben Rhodes, Mason Warren, Lewis Austin, Brodie Litchfield, Curtis Burrows, Dan Moore, Toby Gregory, Ewan Sutherill.

Attenborough has had to face a big rebuild after losing nine of last season’s squad with a tenth a strong possibility. The players who have exited the Raygar are…

Karl Demidh, Phil Watt, Declan Dunn, Sidik Atcha, James Cadman, James Oliver, Zak Goodson, Keiron Walker and Mason Frizelle.

Kevin Bastos’ future at the Raygar is also understood to be in doubt.

The Nailers are expected to add two more players to the squad to bring the numbers up to at least sixteen.
